Mallory
Mallory's lead voice is the one you'll hear the most when you listen to The Pickin' Chicks.  She has an incredible capacity for memorizing lyrics and chords quickly, and her broad vocal range makes her ideal for singing harmony as well.  Mallory is the emcee for the group, and she also composes songs.  You can hear her original song, "Her Song," on the Pickin' Chicks' second CD "Small Town Girls."

Mallory plays the bass and the guitar for the band, and she also plays guitar for the band members individually when they compete in fiddle and banjo contests.  Having a solid rhythm guitar player for a competition is very important, and Mallory fills this role admirably!  She is also currently learning to play the banjo.

Mallory started playing guitar when she was just 10 years old.  Mallory also plays bass.

Some of Mallory's musical accomplishments include:

March 2011 - MABC Fiddle, Banjo & Talent Contest:  1st Place Junior Talent Contest (The Pickin' Chicks) & 5th Place Junior Talent Contest (individual)

August 2011 - Illinois State Fair, Springfield IL: 1st Place Group Vocal

Mallory has sung at concerts and contests many times throughout the past several years with the Pickin' Chicks and also her sister, Nikki.  She is an Honor Society Student, and was inducted into the Lodge by unit leaders at Camp Ondessonk in 2010.  Her hobbies include playing guitar, basketball, softball, four-wheeling, camping, being with friends, shopping, texting and listening to music.
